Twitter has surpassed Facebook as the most popular social networking site among teens in the U.S., according to a study released in October by Piper Jaffray, a financial firm. Twenty-six percent of teens primarily use Twitter, compared with 23% who prefer Facebook and its subsidiary Instagram. And wherever teens congregate online, cyberbullying is likely to follow. On Twitter, this type of behavior can be troublesome because negative tweets about the victims may appear if someone searches their name on Twitter. Also, victims who block their bullies from following their tweets do not necessarily prevent the bullies from tweeting about them. (more)
