Biography

Timothy Andrews, CEO of Intertec, is charged with integrating PRIMEDIA, Inc.'s Business-to-Business publishing and online divisions. He oversees more than 100 publications, 30 trade shows and 450 books and directories, including IndustryClick, where he leads the development of industry-specific vertical online communities.

Mr. Andrews was previously the founding President and CEO of Dow Jones Reuters Business Interactive (later renamed Factiva), where he drove the formation of the $225 million joint venture between Dow Jones and Reuters and led the creation of information solutions for corporate customers in 40 countries.

Prior to founding Factiva, Mr. Andrews served as Vice President and Editor of Dow Jones Interactive, where he led development of business intelligence services geared toward business and information professionals. He also served Dow Jones as Editor and Executive Director of Enterprise Products for its Interactive Publishing division, as that unit's founding director of Product Development and as Assistant Director of Consumer Products.

Timothy Andrews serves as a member of the Board of Directors for B2BWorks and Digital Medianet. He is a graduate of Ball State University.

Biography

Ernest Burdette is a co-founder of Triton, the leading provider of cash-dispensing ATMs for off-premise locations in the United States. As Chief Executive Officer, President and Director of the company since August 1979, Dr. Burdette has guided Triton through a period of rapid growth. The company was named to Inc. Magazine's "Inc. 500" ranking of fastest-growing privately held companies in the U.S. three years in a row. In 1999, Triton's sales surpassed a long-time rival to become the second largest manufacturer of ATMs and ATM management software in the United States. In 2000, Triton was acquired by Dover Industries, Inc.

Dr. Burdette is a leading expert on ATM issues ranging from advertising to cellular processing to surcharging and is frequently interviewed and quoted by the financial services and business press on ATM-related subjects.

Prior to founding the company, Dr. Burdette was employed as Engineering Manager and Systems Engineer at Computer Sciences Corporation, a technical services provider to the government, and held faculty positions at Auburn University and Georgia College.

Ernest Burdette earned a B.A. in Physics from Birmingham-Southern College, and an M.S. and a Ph.D. in Physics from Auburn University.

Biography

Emmanuel Daniel is the Managing Director and Editor-In-Chief of the Asian Banker Journal, which he founded in 1996. The leading banking research publication and consultancy company in the Asia Pacific region, the Asian Banker Journal delivers three core products: news, research and forums for senior bankers. Mr. Daniel was awarded the prestigious Citibank Excellence in Journalism Award for the Asian region in February 1999, and is widely regarded as one of the most incisive commentators on developments in Asia's financial services industry.

Prior to founding the Journal, Mr. Daniel was the Asian editor for a European banking publication group. His previous experience includes managing investor relations for leading Indonesian corporations for Burson Marstellar, as well as corporate research on Singaporean and Indonesian businesses at Coopers & Lybrand Management Consultants, during a time when Southeast Asia was propelled by double-digit economic growth.

A graduate of the National University of Singapore and the University of London, Emmanuel Daniel has degrees in law and political science.

Biography

As Co-Founder and Executive Vice President of Services for CorePROFIT Solutions, Inc., Mark Devine is responsible for managing the company's software implementation projects and activity-based costing advisory services. He was previously Senior Vice President of Services at PMG Systems, where he acted as relationship manager for several of the company's largest banking clients including Fleet Financial Corporation. He joined PMG from Wilmington Trust Company where he was Vice President of the Retail Banking Group. There, his responsibilities included consumer and real estate lending and operations. In other key positions with the bank, Mr. Devine was responsible for financial analysis and performance assessments of retail banking business units, strategic deployment of traditional and non-traditional delivery systems, and management of sales and operations units.

Mark Devine holds a bachelor of business administration degree in accounting from Temple University and is a Certified Public Accountant. He has completed graduate work at Temple and is a graduate of the Bank Administration Institute's School for Bank Administration at the University of Wisconsin. Mr. Devine is active in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Biography

As co-founder and Executive Vice President of Marketing for CorePROFIT Solutions, Inc., Frank Donny is responsible for the company's worldwide marketing and corporate communications. He came to CorePROFIT from PMG Systems where he was Senior Vice President of Marketing. Prior to that, Mr. Donny was Director of Marketing at Sanchez Computer Associates, Inc., a leader in the development of innovative electronic banking software solutions and services for financial institutions worldwide. There, he was responsible for the management of Sanchez's global marketing strategy, corporate branding plan and public/investor relations.

Mr. Donny has more than 12 years of experience in the fields of software, hardware and retail marketing, with an emphasis on strategic business development for high technology products. Prior to joining Sanchez, he served as the U.S. East Region Marketing Manager for Zenith Data Systems, an international computer manufacturer, where he led the region's marketing and sales support team for the finance and education industries. Mr. Donny began his marketing career at Procter & Gamble, where he was instrumental in the development and management of an in-store test marketing division.

A native of Wisconsin, Frank Donny holds a bachelor's degree in marketing from Marquette University and a master's degree in business administration from Western Illinois University.

Andrew Elston, Vice President of Content for IndustryClick, which offers business-to-business vertical community web sites, has been involved in the development and management of publishing operations and digital information services for more than 25 years. He was previously Director of Publisher Alliances at Qpass, a provider of digital commerce solutions to publishers such as The Wall Street Journal, Factiva, the New York Times, Consumer Reports, and USA Today. From 1985 to 1997 he held executive positions at NewsNet, a pioneering online business news service, where he was president from 1993 to 1997.

Prior to NewsNet, Mr. Elston was managing editor of business journals at Information for Industry, including Directors & Boards and Mergers & Acquisitions; director of scholarly publishing at Bishop Museum Press, Honolulu; an editor and columnist at Hawaii Press Newspapers; senior editor at Book Publishing Company, Seattle; and managing editor of a weekly newspaper in New York. He has been active in numerous professional associations, including the Software and Information Industry Association, the Newsletter and Electronic Publishers Association, and the National Federation of Abstracting and Information Services.

Andrew Elston holds a B.A. in English from SUNY College at Buffalo and an MA in English from the University of Washington, Seattle.

Biography

John Kapitan is Senior Vice President of Stern Stewart & Co.'s Financial Services Practice. In this capacity, he has assisted client companies such as Bestfoods, National Australia Bank, and Centura Bank in the design and implementation of a proprietary EVA® framework for financial decision-making and incentives, while advising them on issues of performance measurement, organizational structure, planning, capital budgeting, mergers and acquisitions, and executive compensation. He has also conducted value based management workshops for senior executives, boards of directors, and buy and sell side equity analysts, as well as speaking at public conferences and events.

Mr. Kapitan has led the development and implementation of Stern Stewart's incentive compensation framework for financial services companies. He has written or co-authored many articles, including those published in American Banker, Retail Banker, and the National Post. His previous experience includes the successful management of Quantum Books, and a financial analyst role at the publishing company Addison-Wesley.

John Kapitan is a Beta Gamma Sigma graduate of the University of Rochester with an MBA in finance. He also has a BA in political science from Rutgers University.

Ali S. Kiran, Ph.D., CEO of Exametric, is an internationally recognized authority in Scheduling and Systems Simulation. Concurrently serving as president and CEO of Kiran Consulting Group, Inc. (KCG), he offers consulting and training to major corporations in lean/flow manufacturing, simulation modeling, advanced planning, scheduling consulting, and training issues. Dr. Kiran has overseen the successful implementation of scheduling and simulation solutions in the United States and internationally. Past clients include Avery Dennison, Baxter Healthcare, Compaq Computer Corporation, Cymer Inc., Dell Computers, GTE, Hughes, IBM Corporation, Ingram, Kwikset, Micro, Motorola NASSCO, Northrop, Packard Bell, QWEST, Steelcase, Toshiba, Union Bank, Unisys Corporation, the United Nations and Wells Fargo Bank.

Dr. Kiran previously taught Industrial and Systems Engineering at the University of Southern California (USC), and headed the scheduling research for IMAR, a USC-UCLA consortium. He is the co-author of the Mixed Model Scheduler (MMSÒ) Advanced Planning and Scheduling System.

Dr. Kiran has appeared in over 50 publications. His most recent contribution to the literature is a chapter entitled "Scheduling and Simulation" in the Simulation Handbook (Edited by Jerry Banks, John Wiley, 1998), which won the Association of American Publishers (AAP) Best Book Award for an engineering related handbook for 1998. A member of APICS, IIE, SME, and INFORMS, Dr. Kiran holds a M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering.

President and CEO Joseph Prunty co-founded CorePROFIT Solutions in 1999. The company delivers enterprise-wise profitability management solutions using in-depth behavior based information. Mr. Prunty was previously Senior Vice President of Sales at PMG Systems, where he was responsible for worldwide applications sales. Before PMG, Mr. Prunty was Vice President and Application Sales Manager at Oracle Corporation, with responsibility for North and South American markets, as well as for worldwide Marketing and Alliance programs for Financial Services.

Mr. Prunty's previous experience includes Director & General Manager for the Financial Services Application Sales, Marketing and Consulting Services in North America for SAP America, as well as executive roles at The DODGE Group, Bankers Trust Company, Salomon Brothers Inc., Price Waterhouse, LLP and Lehman Brothers.

A native of New York City, Joseph Prunty holds a bachelor of arts in English literature from City University of New York and he has held several NASD licenses. An active speaker at banking and Internet conferences on technology and CRM, his work has been widely published in a variety of industry-specific journals, including American Banker and Wall Street and Technology.

Biography

Andre Shih heads the Financial Services Practice at Stern Stewart & Company, after an extensive career in banking, decision support consulting and energy. He joined Stern Stewart from Treasury Services Corporation (now part of Oracle), the leading provider of decision support systems for the banking industry, where he held various positions, including Director of Relationship Management for Asia/Pacific, Director of Consulting for Asia/Pacific, and Director of Risk Management Products. Previous positions include Chief Financial Officer at Fidelity Federal Bank, and CFO, Real Estate Division, and Vice President and Manager of the Financial Analysis and Internal Consulting Departments at First Interstate Bank of California. Mr. Shih began his career in Corporate Planning with Atlantic Richfield Company. He also managed the Environmental Analysis Department and the Financial Planning, Budgeting and Analysis Department of ARCO Petroleum Products Company.

Mr. Shih has co-authored a number of articles in publications such as American Banker, Bank Accounting and Finance, the Banker, and Bank Cost and Management Accounting, and is a frequent speaker at conferences. He holds an MA in Economics both from the University of Paris and UCLA, and a Ph.D. in Management from UCLA.
