Windpath Sailing

Goal:
WindPath Sailing was launched in order to provide individuals with an opportunity to own a 1/8 share of a luxury yacht: the privilege and enjoyment of yachting without the maintenance and larger expense of full ownership.  WindPath’s goal was to successfully launch the fractional ownership concept, then expand to a regional network of franchises.

Solution:
In order to drive WindPath’s business growth goals, Stephenson Group needed to identify the unique differentiators that would generate the strongest response from potential franchisees and fractional share investors.  Stephenson Group devised a dual strategy of regionally-focused business and nationally-driven lifestyle messaging to generate media coverage results for this client.

Results:
Within one year, Stephenson Group had secured key media wins in leading targeted press, including:  CNBC, BusinessWeek, NewsWeek, New York magazine, Baltimore (leading luxury publication), New York Times and others. WindPath has now established 12 franchises, and is positioned as the leading provider of luxury fractional ownership programs in the yachting industry.
